Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2007-2008

Funniest Catwalk Fall Ever

Michelle Williams - We Break the dawn

Hate the song. She's the only Ex-Destiny's Child whose music I don't like. Beyonce and Kelly seem to be the only ones to have done it right.

Amy Winehouse live

Hate her or lover her, she still has amazing talent. Rumour has it that she's currently working on another album...If she can get herself back up to these levels I'm sure it's gonna be another great one.

Solange Knowles

I DECIDED

Sandcastle Disco

Rihanna - Rehab

Check out Rihanna's l8est video for her single REHAB...Its her 8th chart topper off of her Good Girl Gone Bad album.

Charlbi Dean

Super sexy Capetonian model Charlbi Dean won the 2004 SA Model Search and has been on a roll ever since having done work for Levi, Guess and United Colors of Bennetton. She is also the face of Monaco fragrance and Canal Walk, a South African mall.

Candice Swanepoel

South African-born Victoria's Secret model, Candice Swanepoel, seems to be steaming up international runways. Having done work for Tommy Hillfiger, Dolce&Gabbana, Rock&republic, BabyPhat and Betsy Johnson to name a few, Candice has come a long way since being spotted by a scout at a fleamarket in Durban.

Leona Lewis

Kimora Lee Simmons

Kimora Lee Simmons is a model, author and head of design for the mega-brands Baby Phat and KLS. She's also done some acting and her exotic looks come from her African-American dad and her Japanese/Korean mom. Her clothes are hot and for a mom of two she's still as sexy as she ever was.

Christina Aguilera - Keeps Gettin Better

10/23/08

Paris Hilton - Jealosy

Boa

Boa is already an established Korean pop artist, this is her 1st single off of her US debut album. I think that the singing is OK, the video is KILLAAA tho...

9/23/08

Rihanna - Disturbia

This is officially it...I can't listen to this talentless wannabe anymore. What does the song mean? Why did she become famous? Its not like she has any talent for singing.

9/17/08

Leona Lewis - Forgive Me (Official Video)

Damn...can she get any hotter. She's so talented, like the Whitney Houston of this generation. I LOVE HER

5/12/08

Cassie live

WOW! cassie can sing live

5/7/08

Cassie - Me & U

Missy Elliot - Ching-a-Ling

Cherish - Shawty is a Killa

Charlize Theron for Sun International

SA's Golden Girl in all her beatiful hotness...She's a classic but for some reason I still think she's just another boere meisie(and I use the term "boere meisie" as in "farm girl" not in a racist way) from the Free State. She's still sexy though and this little Ad proves she's still got it.

Mariah Carey - Touch My Body

Looks like the old bat came out of retirement to drop this new album E=MC2. The extra tight mini skirt must be squeezing out all of her talent because I think this album is definitely not as good as The Emancipation of MiMi. I Think MiMi should stay locked up far away.

Gisele Bundchen

OK, so I just realised that I've been posting on my blog for quite a while now and I have never (not even once!) mentioned Gisele Bundchen. That's disgusting! How could I forget the woman that makes the world go round. She's just soo damn hot. I could go on for 7 years about this girl but none of it could do her justice. All you need is a picture or two and a video of her doing Victoria's Secret. And by the way, she was the highest paid Victoria's Secret model until she retired at the beggining of last year an she is STILL the highest paid model in the world today.

The Spice Girls

I used to like this group...WHAT THE HECK WAS I SMOKING?? They have the vocal ability of a elephant on heroine and they look weird. But anyway, for all you Spice Girl and "Girl Power" lovers...Here's 2 of their music vids.

3/23/08

Joelle Kayembe

Joelle Keyembe is, in my opinion, South Africa's best supermodel. Note how I used the term "supermodel", because that's exactly what she is. Its clear that this South African sex-siren and uber-babe is destined for international super stardom.

The Congolese-born model is best known for her role as one of South Africa's Deal or No Deal girls and is the Highest paid black model in South Africa. She can also be seen in Ludacris's "pimpin all over the world" video, which was shot in Durban, South Africa. Joelle was a finalist in the International Supermodel 2005 competition in China and is included as a Global Honey on SKY TV in the UK. It's clear that this girl is a smoking-hot star with a great personality and a body that's as hot as a supernova. Look out world, it looks like South African models like Joelle Kayembe and Candice Swanepoel are taking the international modelling industry by storm.

Rihanna - Take a Bow

OK, so I hope by now that everybody knows that Rihanna is going to be re-releasing her Good Girl Gone Bad Album with a few extra songs. I have already posted the Acoustic version of Umbrella and it rocks. Here is the second song of the re-release; Ilike, but its not that hot. I prefer the Take A Bow from Leona Lewis.

Beyonce Falls!!!!

This must have sucked!!

3/15/08

Some Old School Classics by Whitney

They don't call her "The Voice" for nothing...so holla back cause there was only one, there is only one and there will only ever be one WHITNEY HOUSTON.

3/8/08

Ciara - Goodies

This is a club classic...We all got down 2 this one a couple of years ago and I don't think it will ever get old.

Soulja Boy was good...until BEYONCE did it LIVE!!

OMW, is there anything beyonce can't do?? She made Soulja Boy ROCK!!

Beyonce: 2008 Album

Beyonce has a new album planned for release in the middle of this year.
Rumour has it that the singer will be taking a completely different direction
with this one and she will move away from her R&B/HipHop sound to do a moer
dance/club type CD. She is currently working with Clive Davis and top
producers from the UK and she seems to be very excited about this project.
Several insiders say that the album will rival the likes of Rihanna's and
Britny's albums who have similar styles. Watch out, it looks like B is on her
way back to the top of the charts once again.

Leona Lewis... Again

So I found a brand spankin new videosof Leona Lewis on youtube. I still can't believe that she sings this well. Its unreal. Its the Whitney Houston of this generation. DAMN!!!

Nicole Scherzinger, my baby love...

I love Nicole Scherzinger her because she has the best body in the business. She sounds crap live but i don't care because she's HOT. I'll do whatever SHE likes.

Umbrella (acoustic) - Rihanna

I love this verion of Umbrella. I think its way better than the original. It makes me cry LOL

Every Time The Beat Drops - Monica Ft Dem Franchise Boyz

Ayo ppl!! I know this song is reeeeaaaly old but I still Love it. Its da theme song 2 my life nd plus its ghetto.

2008: The year of the comeback

2008 is going to a year filled with comebacks from all your favourite artists. Next month we have Mariah Carey, with her new single "Touch my body". Then in the middle of the year we can expect brand new offerings by Whitney Houston, whose currently working with the producer that first discovered her, Clive Davis. From the guys, we have artists like Usher and the King of Pop Michael Jackson working on their new albums. Michael is currently working with both usher and Ne-Yo and hopefully we can expect some top-drawer tracks from him. Oh yes, don't forget about powerhouse group Danity Kane and my personal favourite, teen pop star JoJo. She says her new album is going to be older and I hope more skanky, cause da girls needs some sex appeal damn it!

Barack Obama - America's last and only hope getting its dignity and respect back

As you all may know the American presidential race is well under way and the race for the Democratic Party candidacy is the one to watch. Its Clinton up against Obama and if the last couple months are anything to go by, then it seems like Obama could be the next president of the USA.

Yes, we can all breathe a big sigh of relief as America is finally electing somebody that actually has a brain, and who has some good ideas too. He's promised to pull all troops out of Iraq in one week after his inauguration along with several other promises that seem believable and do-able. And he does not look like the type of person to go back on his word. (well at least that's how I see it). But the main reason I prefer him over Clinton is the fact that he's black and his father and mother are African. hopefully this willl mean more aid and support to the continent. YAY, it looks like not only america will benefit by electing him.

Jordin Sparks Ft Chris Brown - No Air

I hate Chris Brown, but this song with Jordin Sparks is great. I can't stop listening to it. I had the mp3 a couple of months ago but the video made it hot again.

Teletubbies Walk It Out!

Beyonce VS Rihanna

As teenagers we battle with so many important decisions in our day-to-day lives, "do I take that drug?", "should I wear that t-shirt?", what should I watch on TV tonight?' "do I go to that party?"...But there is one decision, one important decision, that we all have to face: Who should I listen to? Who is better?

BEYONCE KNOWLES OR RIHANNA

On the one hand we have an ex-Destiny's Child member that made it big after her break-out single "Crazy in Love". After a series of HUGE (often platinum) successes, 2 albums and a high profile marriage to record mogul Jay-Z she went on to become a Diva of this generation. Beyonce has fans around the globe, amazing talent and stage presence and a voice of pure gold.

On the other hand we have a Barbados beauty that signed her first deal with record mogul Jay-Z (Yes, that's beyonce's boyfriend) at the tender age of 16 and shot to fame with a series of Pop, R&B and Hip hop signature tunes. Her unique voice and youthful appeal make her an instant hit. Her dancefloor-ready hits are almost always a sure way to get people moving and her catchy single, "umbrella", won her the MTV 2007 Song of the Year Award

So...who would you choose?
The Diva with a golden voice, stage-presence and a host of No. 1 hits?
OR
The young Rihanna with amazing talent and widespread appeal and huge success?

Its up to you, personally, I refuse to choose: I love them both

Leona Lewis

Leona Lewis is sure to be one of 2008's hottest artists. After rising to fame on the British X-Factor television show, she sky-rocketed to fame with her radio smash-hit "Beeding Love" which stayed at No. 1 on the UK singles chart for 7 weeks. Along with this the song scored her several No. 1 placements in 15 other countries as well as varoius spots in the Top 10 and Top 5 spots in music charts around the world. With the release of her debut album "Spirit" Leona is sure to have several more hits and I suggest that you keep an eye on this young star. GO BUY HER ALBUM ASAP!!

No wonder our perception of beauty is warped...

Over the last 5 years we've seen several revolutions in the fashion, beauty and entertainment industry. But they all have one thing in common: perfection. I think we've disocvered the the fountain of youth, and its name is PHOTOSHOP! When we read magazines and see these young (and old!) men and women advertising products like makeup and fragrances and hair products etc etc, we are shown images that have been so digitally altered that they don't even look real or human at times. We make these images the benchmark for beauty (and I include guys in this statement because magazines like Men's Health are just as guilty of doing this.) and we accept it as the way that we are all supposed to look.

It's wack! We all want to look like this, Girls want to be dangerously thin with perfect skin and hair. Guys want to be muscular, tall and more recently the trends also lean towards being males being as this as possible. Its unreal. We will never be perfect and NO amount of plastic surgery will ever help.

I could give you a whole list of cliches and crap like that about how we should love ourselves. But that just doesn't work! No amount of self-help and positive messages will stop the multi-billion dollar fashion industry from warping our view of real life and how REAL people look. I think all we can do, as teenagers, is wait until we reach 40 and realise that people really don't care that much about how thin you are, how you look or what you wear. In the mean time: DON'T commit suicide or anything like that because it will be a total waste. Focus on your intelligence and other stuff that will keep your mind occupied until then. And take comfort in the fact that if you take away the makeup, the clothes, the Photoshop and the small village of people that work on a single model to make Him/Her look great...Models and celebrities are just like us. they're pimply, FAT, sometimes ugly and have bad hair.
